The Idioms, Health is Wealth. How many of us follow this sentence? This tells us that we need a healthy body and mind to work but today in running busy city life, everyone has just forgotten that health is our priority. A person is said to be healthy when he is mentally, physically, and emotionally fit. But in this running busy lifestyle, it keeps yourself fit and healthy is a very big task.

Today, on the 7th of April, world health day, the world celebrates Health Day every year to spread awareness to people about health and it was first started in 1950. Well, there are many myths related to health that spreads around also, and in this article, we will talk about those 3 myths which are assumed to be good for health, but actually, are harmful.

1.The first myth is about drinking water, water is as essential for the body as much as food. But there are some myths related to water and now you must be thinking what kind of myths are there? mostly people drink water while standing. And even people believe that it is good. But for your sake, when water is drunk while standing it directly passes with the speed and falls directly into the lower part of the stomach which is very harmful to your health like digestion and kidneys. So that is why our elders and doctors advised us to drink water while sitting on a chair or something.

Moreover, drinking water while in a standing position can cause arthritis. and when you drink water in the same you will still feel thirsty after drinking a lot of water. So, it is advisable to drink sip by sip and not drink a lot of water at one time.

2.The second myth is, we often see people drinking water with food or right after food. Well, this is common but harmful to health. Do not drink water with food or after food at least for an hour or two, as it affects your digestive health first. Additionally, drink water for at least 30 minutes before going to dinner.

3.The third and most followed myth is, people generally go to bed right after dinner, one should avoid to not to go to bed immediately and instead take a walk for 10-15 minutes after dinner to digest it properly. And it will remain to keep control of your weight and enhance your metabolism. Walking after eating food releases the endorphin hormones and due to this, stress is reduced.
