Visit the Tourist Spot Mrugavani National Park, Rangareddy

The Mrugavani National Park is located at Chilkuru in Moinabad, Rangareddy district of Telangana state at a distance of about 25 km from Hyderabad. The National Park is spread over an area of 3.5 sq. km. However the Indian government announced it as a wildlife sanctuary in the year 1994 and since then, the park has become the home of 600 species of plants and animals.

The Mrugavani National Park is a beautiful national park that turned into a major tourist attraction. What is the most exciting thing, is that the land is fulfilled with exotic and immense natural resources like in India, and it is a great achievement. The Mrugavani national park has had the least human interference and interaction in order to make sure that all the creatures of the national park remain undisturbed in their natural habitat.

The topography of the park has made up of many rocky substances that are the characteristics of Deccan formation. Wildlife like Foxes, wild boars, black-naped hares, and also the Indian vipers who is most attractive species of travelers. Some of the species like Teak, Palas, Bamboo, Picus, Sandal, and Rela. And some of the plant species include bryophytes, Herbs, Shrubs, Climbers, Pteridophytes, and Trees. The vegetation represents a mosaic of woodland and grasslands. The animal species like Cheetal, Sambar, Python, Civet Cat, Wild boar, Jungle Cat, Mongoose Monitor Lizard, Russell Viper, and King Cobra can be found there. Apart from the flora and fauna, the Mrugavani National Park has more than 100 species of birds including warblers, peacocks, lapwings, and flowerpeckers.

The climate is very pleasant here most of the time. There is a point in the park at a height of high point views and there is also a watch tower to watch the animals closely. In fact, there is also a library and Education center which provides information about the Environment, a museum, and an auditorium that exhibits wildlife. Travelers can also go for safari rides for those who are willing to get closer to the park and nature.

Well, most of the vegetation can be classified as southern tropical dry deciduous forests. The Park does a particular job of conserving the native flora of the city of Hyderabad.

By road– Mrugavani National park is accessible by road and located at a distance of nearly 20 km from Hyderabad en route Chilkur, close to Nehru Outer Ring Road.
