Kodaikanal is one of the famous holiday destinations in India, as this hill is situated at 7,200 feet above sea level. Kodaikanal is located in the upper Palani hills of the Western Ghats near Madurai in Tamil Nadu and about 55 km west-southwest of Dindigul. To know more, the place was created in 1845 by British civil servants as a hill station and then the British administrative offices were moved during the summer. The word Kodaikanal means “gift of the forest” and the hill station was developed in the mid-19th century.
