The Ali Sagar Reservoir is located at a distance of about 13 km from Nizamabad, Alisagar reservoir is one of the most popular tourist places in Telangana. As this place has a very big garden that you can see nearby Alisagar Reservoir often attracts travelers. Originally this garden was developed by the Nizams of Hyderabad in the year 1931, but in present times this Alisagar reservoir garden is completely under the supervision of the local irrigation department.

Another interesting thing about the Alisagar reservoir is that there is a lift irrigation project. Meanwhile, the lift canal originates from the backwaters of the Pochampadu Dam. 1. Ashok Sagar

It is Located in Jamamket village at a distance of about 7 km away from Nizamabad town. It is a big reservoir that has a beautiful rock garden, a children park, a swinging bridge, and an octagonal-shaped restaurant. There are boating facilities for travelers is the main source of attraction. This Ashok Sagar is spreading over a huge area of 2 acres, the garden sports a beautiful landscape and an attractive natural rock. The 15 feet marble statue of Goddess Saraswati in the middle of the water is another major attraction of the place.

So, How to Reach it? Ashok Sagar is just 7 km away from Nizamabad and can be easily accessible by road.

2. Nizamabad Fort:

A blend of power, incredible, and architectural brilliance, Nizamabad fort was constructed by the Rasthraputha rulers during the 10th century. However, the fort is situated on the top of a hill with an altitude of 300 meters, it is said that the fort has been ruled by a number of dynasties and has undergone modifications. 

How to Reach? The fort is about 14 km away from the Ali Sagar reservoir. It will take around 30 minutes for the car to reach the place.

3. Nizam Sagar Dam

the Nizam Sagar dam was built in the year 1923, and is constructed over the river Manjeera which is one of the tributaries of the River Godavari. This dam is responsible for serving the water needs of Hyderabad as well as Secunderabad.

How to Reach? It is just about 70 km away from Ali Sagar Reservoir.
