Ankapur Model village is situated in Armor Mandal, Nizamabad district of the Indian state of Telangana. This village is considered one of the model villages across the country. This village is small, self-sufficient, and rich in agriculture. Almost every farmer in this village has taken to micro irrigation using a drip system. This village is situated 20 km away from the district headquarters, on Nizamabad-Armoor Road boasts three commercial bank branches, 300 tractors, and an equal number of cars.

They harvest commercial crops, as opposed to traditional ones like paddy, in a district that is known to be the rice bowl of Telangana.
The Farmers are enough aware of how to adopt modern methods to augment their output amid scanty rainfall, and they therefore never look to governments for succour even in the worst of scenarios. Hence, more than 75 % of farmers who took the crop and other agriculture loans have already repaid the banks without seeking a waiver.

The village has earned a lot of fame from national and international agricultural research bodies such as the ICAR, ICRISAT, and the International Rice Research Institute. This is only the village in Telangana that has a separate web portal created by its NRIs meanwhile, that is created by its residents who have well-educated children and study in the USA.
The chairman of the village said, that they have over 500 educated youth either working or pursuing higher studies in the USA, the UK, the UAE, and other countries. The village has financial strength with the money sent by them, other than just agricultural income. The women of the village work hard and even though no household owns more than 10 acres of land. During one bumper harvest, farmers were said to have purchased so many new cars with the money they earn from the crops.
Even though there are 22 seed processing units in the village. The red jowar seed developed here and was exported to northern India. Seed companies like Pro-Agro, Ganga Kaveri, Pioneer, Kaveri, Tulasi, and Nuziveedu have processing units in the village. These companies have reduced the problem of unemployment to a large level. As this could be one among a few villages which have a smaller number of white ration cards.
Awards received by Ankapur village include b, Model Village for Cent percent tax collection, and recognition as a Model Village, even though this village is also called Mini USA.
