So there are three ways to reach Megamalai, you can take any of them depending on your situation and location.
The first way is, by AIR- The nearest airport is Madurai, (150 km) Trichy (190 km), and Coimbatore (290 Kms) all are connected with South Indian airports, especially Chennai.
The second way is, by Train- the nearest railway station is Dindigul which is about 140km away from the destination.
The third way is, by Road- highways are connected to each other, and they are connected with Chinnamanur and Theni. The state buses are also connecting Theni to Madurai, Palani, Bangalore, Coimbatore, Dindigul, Thiruchirappalli, Kumuli, and Chennai. Also, there are only a few buses that connect between Chinnamanur and Megamalai. So I would advise you to take a personal vehicle if you are planning to visit Megamalai.

Megamalai Wildlife Sanctuary

Megamalai Wildlife Sanctuary- the Megamalai Wildlife Sanctuary is located within an area of 63000 hectares and is a reserved place. You know wildlife, right, The Sanctuary is an evergreen forest that is full of a variety of birds, wild animals, reptiles, mammals, and flora and fauna.
The sanctuary has also a variety of deer, tigers, porcupines, leopards, elephants, wood snakes, wild boars, macaques, sloths bears, spotted doves, flying squirrels, otters, jungle fowl, and many others. The Tiger has been reserved as the reserve forest as per the approval. You can also spot the different types of species of birds such as dove, barn swallow, red-whiskered bulbul, wagtail, reed warbler, iora, Asian flycatcher, and shrike.

Highwavy Dam

Highwavy Dam- the dam is one of the six damn in Megamalai. The Highwavy damn is an artificial dam that is surrounded by coffee, tea plantations, and amazing mountain ranges that attract every traveler who passes by. The damn was built in 1978 with a capacity of 2.4 million cubic meters.
How to reach- located at the 1km distance from the Megamalai Bus station
Timing– 7 am-6 pm every day

Megamalai Viewpoint

Megamalai Viewpoint- this is a must-visit place and you will have a breathtaking experience. The lakes, mountains covered with mist, massive tea and coffee plantations, and lakes from this viewpoint are phenomenal. There are no shops available there so you have to carry your stuff and take care of food, snacks, and water.
How to reach– located at the 11km distance from the Megamalai Bus station
Timing– 6 am-5 pm every day

Chinna Suruli Falls

Chinna Suruli Falls- Chinna Suruli falls means Cloudland falls, an amazing waterfall, and one of the most attractive tourist spots for travelers. The waterfall is located in the mountain ranges at a height of 190 feet above the ground and is a two-tiered waterfall. The peak season is around October to December which attracts lots of tourists.
How to reach– The waterfall is situated near Kombai Thozhu which is 69 km from Megamalai.
Timings– 6am- 5pm
Note– Chinna Suruli falls is different from Suruli falls which are located near Cumbum.
Iravangalar Dam Meghamalai

Iravangalar Dam- it is similar to the Highwavy dam, the damn is man-made and is located in Iravangalar village which is all surrounded by plantations, and green valleys and this is a spot of attraction for all tourists out there.
How to reach– located at the 18km distance from the Megamalai Bus station
Visiting time– 6am-5am
Entry– free
