The question arises, how the salary of a chief minister would be decided?
Here I am going to tell you in a short brief, that the salary shows the size of the state and the population of the particular state, or the income generated by each state doesn’t apply to the salary of the state. The salary of the chief minister of an individual state is decided by the state legislature, according to article 164 of the Indian constitution. The central Government or the parliament of the country has no say regarding the salaries of the chief ministers. The chief minister is paid for serving the state and looking after its security, safety, and prosperity
The Cm salary included the – Basic pay + sumptuary allowances + daily allowances + constituency allowances = total salary
Even more, the salary of the Chief Minister is revised every 10 years and the hike in the salary has to be approved by the governor. The chief minister has a basic salary along with dearness allowance, and housing rent allowance this is in addition to other special allowances.
