2. Peddamma Gudi, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad-the Peddamma Gudi temple is situated on the Jubilee Hills of Hyderabad. It is a temple that has been constructed specially for the Goddess Peddamma and also known as the Goddess Durga Mata and there is a huge crowd of devotees every week not only from Hyderabad but also from the nearby districts to offer their prayers and the huge crowd on during the nine days of Navaratri. There is a story behind this temple, After the demon was executed, the goddess was thirsty and came to the well nearby to gulp water then a sphere found an idol of the goddess. So, a house of worship was built in that place and now it is called a Peddamma Talli temple.
And according to another legend, the demon Mahishasura had a boon from Lord Brahma that either man or God can kill him. Since then, he became cruel and unstoppable. So, to end this God Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva and goddess Durga took a physical form as being with blessings of Trinity, and all other gods Goddess Durga executed the demon Mahishasura in a battle.
