She took her social media and revealed that she suffered from a heart stack a few days back. She posted a picture with her father, with the caption, keep your heart happy and courageous, and she will stand by him always when he needs it the most. Furthermore, the actress also mentioned that she went under angioplasty and stent placement.
We know that disease related to the heart is so common these days, because of poor lifestyle, uncontrolled stress lack of physical activity, unhealthy diet, and also smoking which causes major damage to the heart. In this situation timely treatment is required, it plays a major role in preventing this disease and preventing any damage from a heart attack. What exactly is an angioplasty and stent placement?
It is a condition when the flow of blood is reduced or completely blocked. Usually, this blockage happens to a build-up in the arteries which leads to restricting the flow of blood. Angioplasty and stent placement are the most common procedures that are performed after a heart attack to open the blocked arteries.
In angioplasty, a small balloon is used to widen the artery and then a stent, that is a tiny wire-mesh tube is inserted into an artery. Both of the procedures have to be performed at the same time. The stent prevents arteries from closing again. So, these procedures are also known as coronary angioplasty or also called percutaneous coronary intervention. This prevents the heart from any further damage and controls the heart attack symptoms like chest pain and shortness of breath.
