The well-known director SS Rajamouli delivered a phenomenal blockbuster movie RRR, which was funded by DVV Danayya under the banner of DVV Entertainment. The movie RRR recently wins best picture at the 2022 Atlanta Film Critics Circle Awards. The movie featured the junior NTR and mega power Ramcharan Teja in the main leading roles.
The movie is running successfully in the US countries and also continues its winning streak in the United States as this is the 3rd award for a Telugu movie in Hollywood. Again, this time RRR has been awarded a special spotlight award from the Hollywood critics Association. The movie will receive the award at the 6th annual HCA film awards ceremony in Los Angeles on 24th February 2023.
The HCA board member Rasha Goel said in a statement that as a person of Indian descent, it has been surreal to finally see an Indian movie has become a global phenomenon blockbuster. The movie gave a cultural impact on audiences worldwide that making it the perfect choice for this year’s Spotlight Award.
RRR, which also has Ajay Devgn in a special cameo, Alia Bhatt, and Shriya Saran in important roles, the movie is based on the lives of two Telugu freedom fighters and set in the backdrop of the pre-independence era.
