Ramappa lake is located in Palampet village of Venkatapur Mandal, Mulugu district of Telangana. Also, it is situated 1 km away from Ramappa temple. This lake is an amazing example of an irrigation work of Kakatiya rulers which was constructed in the 13th century built by Ganapathi deva. Even a perfect example of wonderful architecture. The lake is spread over an area of 82 square km surrounded by lush green vegetation all around. The lake has also beautiful mountain ranges in the background that’s offering an amazing look at the time of sunset and sunrise, the viewpoint is amazing.

To reach the lake, Mulugu is the nearest town to Palampet and is easily accessible by road. It is to be noted that there is no bus direct to the lake, but on Saturday and Sunday, APTDC runs buses direct to the Ramappa Lake and temple.
Ramappa Lake Warangal Entry Fee is free, but there is a small charge for the boating facilities, for adults the charge is Rs 15/- and for the kids, the charge is Rs 10/- per person. Additionally, the visiting time to the lake is, morning 5 am to evening 6 pm seven days a week. So, if you are planning to visit the lake then the best time is the winter season, October to march, the best time to visit and enjoy the scenic beauty of the lake with sunset and sunrise, what an amazing view from the lake.
Furthermore, there are good restaurants cum dining halls around Ramappa Lake but these are unused because of a lack of proper maintenance. Even a tourism Rest House is also there near the Lake, which has three rooms with a dining hall. A CMEY group is operating a boating facility for Tourists on the Lake.
