Phalana Abbayi Phalana Ammayi movie review

The movie is set in the year od 2000, where Naga Shaurya (Sanjay) and Malavika Nair (Anupama) are the collegemates in Vizag. Where Anupama who is a one-year senior protects Sanjay from ragging and both become very good friends in the college. In the year 2004, they both go to London to pursue their higher education, Masters and they start to live in a live-in relationship. However, while Anu was in the hospital and Sanjay couldn’t make it in the hospital when needs his moral support. She was very disappointed and she breaks up with Sanjay. So, the other part of the movie story is about the absence of Sanjay in her life and how the couple’s relationship goes on after that.

The filmmaker Srinivas Avasarala is known for his sensible movies, and his latest movie in which he struggles to keep the same reputation after that movie. Therefore, Phalana Abbayi is the journey of 10 years of together two college friends and the emotional life scenes they had together. The couple is originally from Vizag, the movie is precisely less dramatic but the director tried very hard to make it a real movie. But, nothing could able to generate the feeling. The second half of the movie is about the couple’s emotional talks and moments. The actor and actress look great together on screen, but the sad thing is the other cast crew is very bad.

At last, the movie is poorly narrated movie, and except for the main lead, the rest of the casting is very bad. None of the scenes are able to connect with the audience till the end. Hence, as a result, it is a disaster movie and failed at the box office.

– Naga Shaurya, Malavika Onscreen chemistry
– Audio wise two good melody songs

– Ultra slow-paced narration
– Conflict points not established effectively
– Friendship, Love, and Pain
– none of the emotions works

RATING :- 1.25/5
