Finally, let’s talk about how to reach Munnar from Bangalore, there are many ways to reach there, by bus, by train, by air, and by road.
The first option is by Bus, it is one of the best and most convenient options of transport because it starts from Bangalore and directly reached the destination Munnar means the end station. There are a total of eight buses that offers the bus facility from Bangalore to Munnar and the distance traveled around by 460km. the journey is around 10-12 hours long, so the bus facility is available at the night only which makes the overnight journey comfortable. The bus timings are 9 pm, 9:30 pm, and last 10 pm. And the charges are of non-ac buses are around 900 INR and for the AC buses are 1050 INR, for the luxury buses are 1800 INR.
The second option you can choose is driving, on road. If you have your vehicle then you can drive it to Munnar and can be done easily. There is good connectivity of flyovers, bridges, national highways, and roads all are well connected. And the distance is around 480km by car and take around 9 hours if you start at night because all the roads are traffic free at night so you can reach as early as you can.
The third option you can opt for is by reaching by Train, three trains run every day from Bangalore to Munnar. The train will depart from Bangalore Cantonment and will reach the station Ernakulam Junction (South), the nearest railway station to Munnar which is 88km away from Munnar.
