If you are a lover of momos and you’re a little bored of eating momos all the time, you can try this variant dish that is so good and you will be finger-licking at the end. 

Ingredients to make

  • 3 cups of maida
  • 1 Carrot finely chopped 
  • 1 capsicum finely chopped 
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • Half medium-sized cabbage finely chopped 
  • Garlic 
  • 2 tbsp soya sauce 
  • ½ tbsp black pepper 
  • salt to taste 
  • 3 tablespoons 
  • corn flour 
  • 1 to 2 cups of corn flakes 
  • 1 cup oil for deep fry.


Step 1: 

To a bowl, add all-purpose flour (Maida), salt, and hot water to make a dough.


Keep this dough aside and head to make the filling. 

Step 3: 

In a pan, fry the chopped garlic cabbage, onion capsicum, and carrot until they are cooked.

Step 4: 

Once the vegetable gets soft, add black pepper, vinegar, and soya sauce to the mixture. 

Step 4: 

Spread out the dough in small circles to accommodate the mixture.

Step 5: 

Add 1 to 2 tablespoons of the vegetable mixture to the spread dough. Fold it to get the traditional Momo shape.

Step 6: 

Take a bowl and add 3 tbsp of corn flour and water to it. Mix them well to form a paste. Dip the momos in the slurry until they are coated well.

Step 7: 

Roll the momos on a plate containing crushed corn flakes. Ensure that the momos are covered with cornflakes properly.

Step 8: 

Heat oil in the pan and fry the momos until they get golden brown color.

Step 9: 

Serve the momos hot with either mayonnaise or ketchup by the side.
