Noted Marathi Actress Ketaki Chitale has been arrested on Saturday by the Thane Police for Sharing a Derogatory post on her social media account. Go into the details, Ketaki Chitale allegedly shared a derogatory post about NCP president Sharad Pawar on her Social Media account which was purportedly written by someone else.
The social media post which was shared by Ketaki Chitale contains some the phrases like “hell is waiting and “You hate Brahmins”. The Social media post allegedly referred to Pawar. Pawar Party shares power in Maharashtra with Shiv Sena and the congress party.
“The offense against Chitale was registered at Kalwa police station in Thane on Saturday based on a complaint lodged by Swapnil Netke,” Thane Police Officially revealed.
Thane Police Crime Branch arrested the actress Ketika Chitale (29) and the actress was attacked with black ink and eggs outside Kalamboli Police station in Navi Mumbai workers of NCP’s women wing on Saturday evening.
The actress was booked under the IPC sections
- 500 (defamation), 501 (printing or engraving matter known to be defamatory),
- 505 (2) (making, publishing, or circulating any statement, rumor or report promoting enmity, hatred, or ill will between classes),
- 153 A (spreading disharmony among people) at the Kalwa police station in Thane, he said.
