The Karmanghat Hanuman Temple located at Karmanghat, Saroornagar, Rangareddy district of Telangana state. This hanuman temple is a very famous temple across the country. The temple is dedicated to the Pawan Putra Hanuman, who is the big devotee of the Lord Rama and is one of the oldest or an ancient temple in the Hyderabad city, Telangana.

It is said that this temple was being built in the 12th century A.D during the time of Kakatiya ruler who was hunting in the forest and resting under a tree for some time. While resting, the king heard someone chanting the name of lord Rama and king got some interest and went around to find who is it chanting the name of Rama and to find that person he went deep in the forests and discovered an idol of lord hanuman. That was the idol made up of stone was in the sitting posture and the voice is coming inside that stone idol. The king paid the respects to the idol and returned to his fort and then lord hanuman appeared in his dream in the same night and asked the king to construct a temple of his name.

On the next day, the king started the work of constructing a temple, then the Karmanghat temple was built immediately under the ruler of Kakatiya dynasty. After 400 years later, when Aurangzeb comes, he ordered to destroy all the Hindus temple from each and every corner of the country. But in this temple, the Aurangzeb’s forces could not entered near the wall and after hearing this thing he himself went there to destroy the temple with a crow bar. But when he arrived the temple, he heard some ear shattering or extremely noise roar grumbling and the instrument slipped from his hands because of fear. Then again he heard some thundering voice from the heavens who said something in Hindi, somewhat like if you want to destroy the temple, then make your heart strong (Agar mandir todna hai raja to kar man ghat) and since that time the place or temple got its name, Kar-man-ghat (Karmanghat). People believes that till this day, the present das, the lord Anjaneya sits in the temple peacefully meditating and give blessings to his devotees, as Dhyana Anjaneya Swamy.
The installed gods in the temple is Lord Hanuman and in the temple with other idols including Lord Rama, Lord Shiva, Goddess Saraswati, Goddess Durga, Goddess Santoshimata, Lord Venugopala Swamy, and Lord Jagannath.
The Karmanghat hanuman is mainly famous across the Telangana state. Every Tuesdays and Saturdays, people comes to offer prayers and take part in the religious ceremonies to Lord Hanuman at the temple. The large number of devotees comes from far on the auspicious day of Hanuman Jayanti to give special Pooja to the Lord and celebrate his birthday. The main festivals are celebrated in the temple is Sri Rama Navami and Hanuman Jayanti, along with all the Hindu festivals.
The temple is located at a distance of nearly 12 km from Mahatma Gandhi bus terminal of Hyderabad and also accessible by road.

By Train– the nearest railway station is Secunderabad Junction which is 17.5 km from the temple.
By Road- from Balapur it is around 3.3 km, and from Secunderabad it is around 13 km.
The visiting timings of the temple is- Monday-Sunday 6:00 AM – 12:00 PM, 04:30 PM – 08:30 PM
And on Tuesday, 05:30 AM – 01:00PM, 04:30 PM – 09:00PM
