1. Sushmita Sen
Sushmita Sen won the Miss Universe Crown in 1994. She was the first Indian woman and the was the first time India won the Miss Universe crown. At the very young age of 18, Susmita Sen has won the Femina Miss India in 1994. After becoming Miss Universe, Sushmita Sen gained huge popularity throughout India. Later she got many opportunities to act in films. Sushmita Sen has been a part of many successfully commercial movies throughout her career.
2. Lara Dutta
Lara Dutta won the Miss Universe Crown in 2000. Before winning the Miss Universe she also won the title of Miss International in 1997. Lara Dutta is an Indian actress and also a businesswoman who established herself as one of the prominent leading ladies in the 2000s. She was the recipient of many awards including the Filmfare Award during her film career.
3. Harnaaz Sandhu
Harnaaz Sandhu is an Indian actor model and beauty pageant winner for Miss Universe 2021. She is the third woman from India to win the Miss Universe title after Sushmita Sen and Lara Dutta. She has also won the title of Miss Diva Universe 2021. Additionally, she won other titles Femina Miss India Punjab in 2019, and was a semi-finalist in the Femina Miss India competition.
Upon being asked, “What advice would you give to young women watching on how to deal with the pressures they face today?” at the Miss Universe finale
Harnaaz replied “The biggest pressure the youth of today facing, is to believe in themselves. To know that you are unique makes you beautiful. Stop comparing yourselves with others and let’s talk about more important things that are happening worldwide. Come out, and speak for yourself, because you are the leader of your life. You are the voice of your own. I believed in myself and that is why I am standing here today.”
