Income Tax Department officials raids at Sonu Sood’s office in Mumbai and some other places on Wednesday. Income tax officers spent 20 hours searching six locations linked to the actor.

According to the sources, income tax department is investigating Sonu Sood’s property deal with a Lucknow-based real estate company.
Political observers speculate that this move by the IT department has come days after Sonu Sood became the brand ambassador for the Delhi government’s mentorship programme for school students.
In a shocking turn of events, the Income Tax (IT) department sleuths have conducted a survey at the residence and offices of real hero Sonu Sood. The survey activities were conducted on Wednesday. However, there is no clarity on the information gathered in the survey.
Media reports say that the officials showed up at the office and residence of Sonu Sood on the grounds of the alleged tax evasion by the actor that came to the light as per the scanner of the IT officials.
The IT raids coming days after Sonu Sood announced as the brand ambassador of the Delhi Government’s flagship mentorship programme had raised a topic on the alleged political angle behind the raids.
However, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) had jumped to support Sonu Sood in the IT raids row and said, IT raids being held at the residence and office of a person who helped lakhs of people says that the Centre is insecure.
During the Covid-19 pandemic last year, when thousands migrants were left without jobs or shelter and stranded far from home he helped them and later he been praised as a “messiah of migrants” for his philanthropy.
