Hyderabad: Hyderabad City’s very own Bonalu Festival Celebrations to begin on June 30. Starting from June 30 Bonalu, Bonalu Celebrations will be done at different places in Hyderabad. Talasani Srinivas Yadav Animal Husbandry Minister Revealed that Golkonda Bonalu will start from June 30, Secunderabad Bonalu from July 17, Rangam Bonalu from July 18, and Hyderabad Bonalu from July 24.
For the past two Bonalu festival was celebrated in a low-key manner due to covid Pandemic restrictions and now the with covid restrictions eased out the Telangana state government has decided to celebrate the festival on a grand scale. Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav also confirmed that the state government has sanctioned Rs 15 crores budget for the festival. Also, Finacial assistance will be given to 3000 Private temples across the state of Telangana the minister added.
The Telangana state government will continue the tradition of presenting Silk Clothes in 26 temples. Police security will be tightened up and additional CCTV will be arranged to avoid any unwanted incidents during the celebrations. Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation will do road repair works and the sanitation department will ensure the temple premises are clean and hygienic.
