Coriander leaves commonly known as Dhaniya in every household Indian kitchen. It is added to the food to improve the taste. Even do you know, it just not enhances the food, but also has some great benefits for health? Our Indian food is incomplete without Coriander leaves. Well, Coriander is a well-known herb and has been used since 5000 BC it originated in Italy. In this article, I will be going to mention the health benefits of Coriander leaves.

Coriander Leaves are a great source of Vitamin A and Vitamin C. and it is loaded with a lot of nutrients, like dietary fiber, manganese, iron, vitamin K, calcium, phosphorus, etc. this wonderful herb consists of 11 essential oils, and low in saturated fat, contains also linoleic acid which has different health benefits.

  7. Can Boost Heart Health– as I mentioned that coriander leaf extract has diuretic properties and helps to remove excess water and sodium from the body and also lower high blood pressure. These all factors can decrease the chances of heart risk and keep your health healthy. Coriander leaves if added to food may help lower the sodium intake since they require very less salt.
  8. Infection Fighting Benefit– coriander leaves have antimicrobial properties that help to fight against infection. One of the compounds contains Dodecanal, which may be especially useful against Salmonella infections. Additionally, the seeds have been shown to protect against UTI (Urinary Tract Infections), and the oil extract from the seeds if added to the antimicrobial products helps in dealing with food-related diseases.
