Google is now monetizing YouTube Shorts, and early results encouraging
The TikTok and Google-owned YouTube shorts are catching up so fast and gaining quite a popularity and usage among users. This has shown encouraging results for the company in its early monetization efforts on a short video-making platform.

The senior Vice President and Chief business officer at (Alphabet Google Parent company) Philipp Schindler said that Consumers are increasing and the consuming content in short-form videos has increased. And, they are seeing this across multiple platforms including YouTube.
On a call with analysts late on Tuesday, Schindler said that “We are continuing to see good user engagement on YouTube. Early results in short monetization are also encouraging and we are excited about the opportunities here.” He mentioned his great excitement about the brilliant opportunity that they have.
According to the statistics, YouTube shorts is now being watched by over 1.5 billion signed-in users every month with more than 30 billion daily views. In the April to June period, YouTube TV surpassed 5 million subscribers including trailers. The YouTube advertising revenue was as high as 7.34 billion in the company’s June quarter as per the reports and there is still a huge scope for improvement the experts are saying.
Sundar Pichai, the CEO of Alphabet and Google has mentioned that “There is also a lot of potential for shopping on YouTube. Just like last week, we announced a partnership with Shopify. It will help creators easily connect their stores to YouTube and enable shopping across their live streams and videos.”
