Eknath Shinde NEW CM of the state of Maharashtra!
Mumbai: On Thursday, it is announced that Eknath Shinde will be the next chief minister of the state of Maharashtra who took oath in a simple ceremony in the Raj Bhawan, the BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis announced the news.
So, Maharashtra finally gets a new government consisting of BJP and Shiv Sena’s rebel faction led by Eknath Shinde. Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari today directed the oath of office to Eknath Sambhaji Shinde as the 20th Chief Minister of Maharashtra.
This comes a day after Uddhav Thackeray resigned as the position of the chief minister and marked the end of an era of Maha Vikas Aghadi government rule in the state.
The Shinde government will solve many issues which have been stopped for the last two and a half years approximately. The reservations to Marathas, OBCs, and others, the completion of the infrastructure projects will be the first priority of the new government.
BJP along with the Eknath Shinde and other 16 independents or smaller parties have given letters of support to the governor, BJP leader Fadnavis says while announcing Shinde’s name for the top post.
Eknath Shinde said I will not betray the faith Devendra Fadnavis has placed in me. Fadnavis could have become the Chief Minister going by the number but he showed a big heart, I thank him, the CM said.
The CM further said I thank all 50 MLAs for getting behind a small leader like me, I will do what it means to take for progress and development. This is the Era when even the sarpanch posts are not given to anyone, fadnavis Ji gave me the CM’s post.
Shinde, who led the rebellion against Uddhav Thackeray, claimed the support of fifty MLAs. At the present time, the BJP has 106 MLAs in the 288 member Maharashtra Assembly and Shinde is leading 39 rebel shiv Sena Legislators and some independents.
By addressing the media the spokesperson of the rebel sena camp’s said, we contested the 2019 elections with the BJP, which is what the people of Maharashtra voted for. We are going to deliver the promise which was made.
The new chief minister said that apart from 39 Sena MLAs, he has a total of 50 MLAs with him in support, Our 50 and the BJP‘s 120 MLAs will make it the strongest ever government that will walk on the path of Balasaheb’s Hindutva and will have the vision of development of Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji.
