Bogatha Waterfall is also called Niagara of Telangana and is located in Koyaveerapuram G, Wazeed Mandal, Mulugu district, in the state of Telangana. Hence, the waterfall is said to be the second highest in Telangana State. This beautiful waterfall is situated in the dense forest region between Kaleswaram and Bhadrachalam, Bogatha falls is formed on Chikupally Vagu which merges with the River Godavari. And Situated in between the thick vegetation. The waterfall is falling from a height of over 30 feet.

There is a temple also which is dedicated to the Bogateswara Swamy near the temple. The upper part of the waterfalls can be reached from the temple itself. But the motor able road is not available in this area so visitors or tourists need to trek for further distance. For all adventure lovers, this is the perfect opportunity to trek over the mountains and forests and witness the immense beauty of nature. 

But this is a non-reachable network area so everyone must carry their own food and water because no shops or restaurants are available here near the waterfalls. It is located 120 Km from Bhadrachalam, 140km far from Warangal and 329Km from Hyderabad. But the newly constructed Eturnagaram Bridge on NH 163 reduced the distance to 329km from 440km. 

Travel Options – How to Reach

The waterfall is 30km from Eturnagaram. To reach the falls from Eturnagaram, drive past Godavari Bridge and reach Chikupally village which is 11 km from the New Godavari River Bridge past Jagannathapuram village. And from the Chikupally, the road from here runs through the rocky area for about 1 km, and from where visitors need to walk for a distance of 500 meters to reach the falls.

And the waterfall can be reached from Bhadrachalam it is just about 120 km from Bhadrachalam. Bhadrachalam can easily be reached from Hyderabad by road. 133 km via NH163 from Warangal to Bogatha waterfalls and from Hyderabad it is 329Km.

Also, you can reach by train also. Warangal is connected to major cities in India by train, so Warangal is the main railway junction on the Hyderabad-New Delhi and Chennai-Kolkata routes. From there you can reach by road also.

And by road, the falls 23kms from Eturnagaram,110 Km from Jayashankar (Bhupalpally) headquarters, 123kms from Warangal, 243 km from Khammam, 123 km from Bhadrachalam and 280 km from the capital city Hyderabad.

By air- The nearest airport to reach Bogatha Falls is Hyderabad which is located at a distance of 330 km. From the airport, a number of rental cars are available that will take you to your destination.

If you are looking for some shops to eat at before reaching the waterfalls then sorry mate, you need to carry your own food including water from Bhadrachalam, as there are hardly any food shops there.

Accommodation: Where to stay?

A main nearby town with hotels is Manuguru. At Bhadrachalam, several lodge houses are available at reasonable prices. You can also cover Warangal and Laknavaram Lake which is en route to the waterfall.

So what is the Best Time to Visit Bogota Jalapatham? Well, water flows throughout the year but a Good time to visit is after the monsoon between June & November.

The best places to visit are Bogateswara Swamy Temple, the butterfly garden, and the watch tower.

In the watch tower- is a three-storey tower that has been constructed to provide a bird’s eye view of the whole place. The watch Tower is specially built to witness a glimpse of the beautiful sunset or sunrise and be wonder by the different hues of the sky merged with the lush greenery on the earth.
