Vishakhapatnam or also known as Vizag is the most popular and populous city in the state of Andhra Pradesh and is situated between the Eastern Ghats and the coast of the Bay of Bengal. Additionally, It is the second-largest city on the east coast of India after Chennai and the fourth-largest in South India. furthermore, it is the ninth-largest contributor to India’s gross domestic product as of 2016. Well, if you have been there then you would be wondering about its beauty and places, but if you still haven’t been there then you are missing out on the many exciting and stunning places to wonder about lifelong. Here in this article, I am going to mention some of the topmost places to visit in Vizag that you will never forget.

1.Borra Caves– these caves are just situated 90km from the city and located at 705m above sea level. These are the natural example of nature; these natural caves are something that you can wonder about. While entering the caves you will hear the echo of your sound and there is a Shivling in the middle of the cave meanwhile a tiny shrine in the center you can find. Even many pilgrims came to these caves to offer their prayers and after that deep dive into the waterfalls here. In these caves, there are a lot of natural formations that are the result of constant erosion and the rocks being carved and shaped by the river water that flows in them.

2.Araku Valley– have you been to Ooty? The answer could be both yes and no. but let me tell you that this valley is generally compared with Ooty because of its pleasant weather, environment, and lush green dense forests that cover the entire valley. Everything present here will enchant the visitors to the core. You will witness the astonishing views of the surrounding in the middle of your journey to reach the valley, the view that you will remember forever, as the journey is more comfortable and amazing than the destination. 3.Yarada Beach– It is a coastal town mainly famous for its beach and a hill area to reach the beach. Yarada Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Vizag because it is surrounded by hills on three sides, and one side is the Bay of Bengal. Beaches are mainly famous for sunrise and sunset, and people come here to see the beautiful frame of sunset which is settling down above the sea.

5.Katiki Waterfalls– Katiki Waterfalls is another natural place in Visakhapatnam which is famous for its amazing beauty. The waterfalls, the main source of this fall is the Godavari River. And the water is falling from the vertical cliff surrounded by lush dense greenery around it, a scene that you never forget. Katiki Waterfalls is located very close to Borra Caves. It requires a short trek to reach the waterfall and this thing will add the thrill to the journey.

6.Indira Gandhi Zoological Park– the park is located just 5 km from Kailasa Giri, this park is spread across 625 acres of the land of lush greenery. The park is surrounded by hills and wildlife inside the park and witnesses the animals like tigers, lions, and panthers. It also has a special section for moths and butterflies in the park. A mini train runs through the entire park to give you an ultimate view of the places, and to make sure that you don’t miss out on anything.

7.Kailasa Giri Hill Park– the hill park is located at a distance of approximately 19 km from the main city, Kailasa Giri is a famous hill station in Vishakhapatnam, there are small hills and beaches, the hill park is at an elevation of around 173m above sea level. Kailasa Giri is a park that is situated on top of a hill. The best part about this hill is that it offers you a panoramic view of the city of Visakhapatnam.

8.VUDA Park– Vuda park is located near RK beach or Ramakrishna beach, this is one of the popular places in Vizag that is worth visiting. This is an urban park that was named after the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N T Rama Rao at the time of its establishment. The park offers some recreational activities that you can participate in with an ice-skating rink that has made its name all over the city. The park is spread over an area of 55 acres, with Lush green trees, beautiful lawns, and colorful flowers that add charm to the space and attract nature lovers in large numbers. There are other activities that one can do including, swimming, boating, horse and camel rides, and other activities. However, the main attraction of the park is the musical fountain, which is also the tallest of its kind in the country.
