Famous Bengali Actress Pallabi Dey, who appears in Bengali Television serials was found dead under mysterious circumstances. The incident came into the limelight when her friend Shagnik Chakraborthy discovered her hanging body at a rented flat in Kolkata. Both Pallabi Dey and her friend Shgnik Chakraborthy used to stay in a rented flat in South Kolkata since April 24 this year.
Shagnik Charborthy informed the police after she found Pallabi Dey’s Hanging body. Shagnik informed police that he went out for cigarettes and after returning he discovered Pallavi Dey’s hanging body. The police sent the body to post-motrem.
“Prima facie, it seems that it is a case of suicide. However, the conclusion can be made only after the post-mortem report is available. We have started an investigation after filing a case of unnatural death,” an investigating officer said.
Her friends, Co-artists, and colleagues in the Bengali television industry have expressed shock about the unexpected incident.
Pallabi Dey had become quite popular among the Bengali television serial lovers with her roles in serials like “Ami Sirajer Begum” and “Mon Mane Na”.
