Anjana Sri Likitha is a software engineer who met Samrat through mutual friends and the duo gradually fell in love during the lockdown.
Samrat Reddy once tweeted that “We have known each other for over a year and a half now. Throughout the pandemic and the lockdown, our relationship slowly progressed from friendship to love. Her positivity is infectious and I just wanted to spend the rest of my life with her. I am so thrilled we are married now.”
He has also added that “Despite the traumatic way in which I first married, I was sure that there is someone special out there for me. I was going through a lot after my divorce. But meeting Likhta made me believe in love again. She gave me hope and more importantly she brought me immense happiness.”
The actor has shared that even after deciding to get married they both had to face several challenges before the wedding. He mentioned that it took some time to convince their families. Their family members were initially skeptical of their bond which finally made them realize that they are the perfect fit for each other.
The couple initially planned to get married on August 8. But just before the wedding, the Samrat family got positive for covid-19 and they had to postpone the wedding.
On Wednesday November 4, Samrat and Likitha finally tied the knot in a traditional Telugu ceremony in Kakinada. The wedding was arranged in a very intimate way only among family and friends due to the COVID situation at that time. At the wedding, popular personalities like Deepthi Sunaina, Tanish Alladi Shilpa Reddy, etc were spotted.
After the wedding, the couple flew back to Hyderabad and had a Satyanarayana Vratam at their home on Friday morning and a small party with friends in the evening.
