Muthyam Dhara waterfalls are the country’s third-highest waterfall. The water falls from a height of 700 meters. As the water falls from a such great height, it is blown by strong winds, giving it an appearance of a long snake.

Muthyam Dhara waterfalls have the potential to become one of the most popular tourist destinations. But, the lack of basic facilities at the waterfalls makes it unfavorable for trekking.

Tourists and nature enthusiasts have to reach the waterfalls by taking a 10-kilometer walk through the forest due to the lack of proper roads.

The locals say that it is believed that bathing in the waterfall can be therapeutic since ancient times. As the water mixes with rare medicinal herbs on its journey, it is believed to be therapeutic.

One has to travel through the forest by trekking along streams. The total distance would be around 20 km of walking in the forest. So, make sure you have an ample amount of time and energy to travel through the uneven terrain of the rocky path.

While anyone can visit the waterfall, one should have no expectations regarding the facilities. One should take enough care at the premises of the waterfalls as the trekking and the surroundings near waterfalls would be slippery due to the surfaces and uneven stones
