His shrine or Dargah is a famous pilgrimage place globally, people come from different regions of the world to attend the celebrations every year, and is located in kazipet, 2km from the kazipet railway station. These celebrations are continuous for 3 days beginning on 26, Safar (the second month of the Islamic calendar), the celebrations are attended by a huge range of people worldwide.

Islamic scholars say that there are only three such dargahs, colored in green, in honour of great personalities including one in Baghdad, the other in Madina, and the third one here in Kazipet. Every year, people come in large numbers or in large groups to visit this dargah and fulfil their promises and make new wishes.

You know Syed spent 12 years in Tasawwuf a form of Sufi meditation in the caves located in the forest of Battupalli, near kazipet, and the only reason he named Biabani which means inhabitant in English and sunsan in Urdu.

Shaha Afzal received primary education from his father, he learned Marifat, Tariqat, and Zikar-e-Qalbi from his father only and received khilafat, a spiritual succession from him. He also learned Quran and Hadith from the Sufi of Fort Warangal Ht Faqirullah Shah.

His father was Syed Shah Ghulam Mohiuddin Biabani and his mother was Ht Qasim Bibi Saheba. Mir Qurban Ali, the Collector of Warangal suba was his father-in-law.

Hazrath Afzal Biabani Radi Allahu anhu was a saint by birth, his mother used to say that, there was something extraordinary in him from his childhood. Some miracle incidents have happened in the past even in his childhood. A story is, once upon a time, at the residence of her brother, Syed murtuza Hussaini at Qutbiguda in Hyderabad while playing with other children of his age between 4-5 years in the ground, he dug a small well like other children did but the water was found in the well that was dug by him and others were dry.

Well, he preferred to live in a hut like any other poor man, he had no interest in living in the big house. But his mother objected and said he had to maintain the dignity of his social position. But later Syed politely convinced her to live in a hut. This reflected his desire to break the barriers between the life of the master and a servant and he was willing to live as the poor man used to live.

Hazrath Afzal Biabani used to teach disciples high morals like simplicity, polite nature, and social equality and to serve people irrespective of their caste, creed, language, religion, and region. For this reason, lots of people belonging to different religions became devotees and followers of him. Thus, he proved himself to be a symbol of national integration, communal harmony, and social justice and a protector of human rights. Even today, Hazrath’s Shrine or Dargah at Kazipet is much crowded and admired by Muslims, Hindus, Christians, and Sikhs.

It is also believed or said that most of the Hindu families of Kazipet and neighboring villages bring the newlywed couple to the Dargah immediately after the marriage to get blessings for the newly married couple before they get to their homes.
