History
Hazrath Afzal Biabani Radi Allahu anhu was a saint by birth, his mother used to say that, there was something extraordinary in him from his childhood. Some miracle incidents have happened in the past even in his childhood. A story is, once upon a time, at the residence of her brother, Syed murtuza Hussaini at Qutbiguda in Hyderabad while playing with other children of his age between 4-5 years in the ground, he dug a small well like other children did but the water was found in the well that was dug by him and others were dry.
Well, he preferred to live in a hut like any other poor man, he had no interest in living in the big house. But his mother objected and said he had to maintain the dignity of his social position. But later Syed politely convinced her to live in a hut. This reflected his desire to break the barriers between the life of the master and a servant and he was willing to live as the poor man used to live.
Hazrath Afzal Biabani used to teach disciples high morals like simplicity, polite nature, and social equality and to serve people irrespective of their caste, creed, language, religion, and region. For this reason, lots of people belonging to different religions became devotees and followers of him. Thus, he proved himself to be a symbol of national integration, communal harmony, and social justice and a protector of human rights. Even today, Hazrath’s Shrine or Dargah at Kazipet is much crowded and admired by Muslims, Hindus, Christians, and Sikhs.
