Hyderabad: Telugu Film industry in shock again. Telugu actress Niharika Konidela has been confirmed to have been detained by the Hyderabad police from 3 AM on Sunday till 12:00 PM.
Going into the reports coming from Bajara hills Task Force had raided a pub at a five-star hotel in the city on Saturday night to curb late night partying and on allegations of drugs being distributed. Few celebrities including Rahul Sipligunj and Niharika Konidela daughter of Nagababu has been detained by the Banjara hills police.
Tough police intially didn’t confirm if the actress and singer were part of those caught, visuals emerged of the actress leaving the station to go home. Sources also say along with two other friends were also detained by the police and let go a few minutes after left the place. Niharika Konidela refused to talk to media while leaving police station and didn’t answer any questions related to the incident.
Reports state that the actress was detained in the DI room but it looks like she got a clean chit after being investigated for hours. Sources state that she was detained as drugs were found in the vicinity of her friends but they too seem to have been given the clean chit. The Banjara Hills police and Task Force are yet to inquire who was taking the drugs. Police sources state singer Rahul Sipligunj was also detained but was let go at 8 AM in the morning.
