330 EV charging stations to come up in Hyderabad
Hyderabad: The state government is encouraging the use of electric vehicles and drop down carbon emissions. The GHMC, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation proposes to set up 230 EV charging centers and Hyderabad Metropolitan Authority would set up 100 more stations within its limits.

Each station would have a high charging speed facility and also a normal charging facility. The facility will be installed on a revenue-sharing model as agreed by GHMC, HMC, and the Telangana State Renewable Energy and Development Corporation (TSREDCO). The cost of charging would be Rs 18 kilowatt per hour (kWh), but the prices will be revised once it is done.
To encourage the use of Electric Usage, the State government recently launched the Telangana First Electric mobility awareness web portal, which is hosted by Telangana State Renewable Energy and Development Corporation.
Moreover, to promote and increase the number of Electric Vehicles including two, three, and four-wheelers, cars, and buses the state government also brought a policy for all Electric Vehicle manufacturers and it is attracting them to set up their units in the state.
Currently, there are 150 EV charging centers or stations in the city, and most of them are located near the Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited Stations, Railway Station, petrol bunks, and others.
